Youth Activities
XOO
XOO, which stands for Christ, Others, Ourselves is our youth program for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. They enjoy dinner and lessons on Wednesday evening beginning at 5:30 from September through the end of April. They learn about the Bible through lessons, stories, crafts and games. They also participate in mission projects around the church and in the community.
Youth
Group
The Youth group consists of students in grades 6-12. They meet on Sundays at 6:00 pm for evenings of learning, games, laughs, conversations, and fellowship together. They help with activities and mission projects, both around the church and in the community. These activities include: Alzheimer's Walk, Live Nativity, Homeless Awareness Lock-Out, mission trips to Kentucky, and simply to do work and raise funds to help those who cannot. They also have a lot of fun together!
Choristers
Choristers is our youth choir for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. This choir meets on Wednesday evenings at 5:00 beginning in September. They sing in church one Sunday a month and for other special occasions
Confirmation
Class
Confirmation at St. John's is for one year (9th Grade) and begins in the fall. Students meet each week to study and learn more about their faith. On Pentecost Sunday, they are confirmed as voting members of the church and receive their first Holy Communion.
